Take a look at our Top 5 Tips for Building Your Business through Customer Reviews

  1. Ask for Review
Your ecommerce solution should prompt buyers to leave reviews.  If you have a service-based business, have a spot on your website that asks for feedback. In both service and retail businesses, you should always email you customers and ask if they would like to leave feedback in a follow up email.
  2. Don’t delete negative reviews
People trust reviews more when they see some negative reviews mixed in.  If all they see is positive reviews, it can cause concern about censorship. The best strategy here is to get more positive feedback to counter the few negatives. You will end up with an honest and positive reputation.
  3. Be Visible on Review Sites
Sites such as Yelp, Google+, Angie’s List, Trip Advisor etc. exist solely to collect and give reviews.  Make sure your business is listed on these sites and be sure to monitor the activity. Ask your customers to review you on these platforms.
  4. Ask Offline
Put a sign up in your store and ask people to review you on Yelp!  Teach your staff to ask customers for reviews online and offer incentives for reviews.
  5. Social Media
Each week, post one positive review on your social channels.  Don’t edit them though – even if there are spelling or grammatical errors you should always post testimonials exactly how they were given.  This is an excellent way to spread positive news about your business!
