Custom Project? We can help!
One of the lesser known services available to our customers is access to our team of highly skilled programmers. Working behind the scenes these programmers work with all areas of our business. Our team is always working the next update for our 4.0 software to add new features, or new tools for our customers. This development is driven by the ongoing feedback of our Website and Webcenter owners to bring you the features you need to grow your business.
Our team also works very closely with our Design Center in building our customers modern, responsive designs that conform to Google’s Best Practices. Our Design Center teams work is most commonly seen in the work of our Graphics Designers and Integrators. However behind the scenes our Custom Code team is always working in little ways to better the websites of our customers. From small CSS (Cascading Style Sheet) changes to improve the look and feel of individual websites, to large scale development projects. The Custom Code team puts a varied, constantly evolving, skillset at your disposal.
As a turnkey solution focusing on the small and medium business market, maWebcenters has served the website needs of hundreds of thousands of businesses over the years. For a very small percentage of these sites they need something extra, something uniquely special, and something completely custom. This is where the Custom Code team comes out from behind the shadows to service the needs of our more demanding clients.
Available to all of our customers you can request our custom code team to look at any feature of any website you would like to replicate. Smartphone applications, Interactive dealer locators, extensive secure forms, large scale searchable organization charts, or custom solutions housed on a virtual server running a suite of plugins are all options available to you through our Custom Code department. If you have a need that exceeds the scope of what our software platform can deliver, the custom code department available via Proposals@maWebcenters.com can review your request and see if we can do it. Pretty much, if you can dream it up, we can custom develop it for you!
All Custom Code requests start via email. This allows our entire team to review the request and discuss what areas of the project we can do, and what areas we need more clarification to generate a quote. After our team has had time to review the email, the Project Manager of our custom code team will follow up with you with any questions, comments, or requests for more information that may be required. This collaborative process is vital to make sure our team is able to fully understand all aspects of your custom code request. Once all the details have been worked out, a quote will be provided based on a number of billable hours it will take our team to do the work. All custom code requests require a signed written proposal before work can commence. For small changes it is not uncommon for them to only be charged a single hour, if not done as a courtesy.
Once the signed proposal is received, our team begins work. Depending on the amount of hours, or complexity of the project, this may be done quickly or take some time to complete. If custom code is being done as part of a Design Center project it is often the very last step after the project is out of final design but before going live. You will work very closely with the Custom Code Project Manager during this stage. Once the first version is complete, often known as a Beta Test, the client reviews the project and provides requests for adjustments such as look, layout, or other changes. Once we make sure everything is functional and has the desired look and feel the code goes live. Depending on the scale of your project, ongoing maintenance of databases, and bug fixes of code may be included as part of your monthly hosting. If there were to be additional costs, those would be covered in the quote.
If you have any questions about the Custom Code department, or if our services can benefit your website, feel free to email us at Proposals@maWebcenters.com. Our team is always happy to help you!
