A Website’s Sweet Spot
What part of a Web page is viewed the most? If you answered the top, you have a lot in common with people who are asked this very important question.
But the truth is, the most-viewed section of a Web site is actually the part of the page that is just above the fold. The bottom of the site. That’s according to the Chartbeat company, which analyzed 25 million user sessions on the Internet.
Users who read for 15 or more seconds on a simplified Web site were 25 percent more likely to remember a brand than those who read 10 or fewer seconds.
Users who read an advertisement on a more complicated site for 10 seconds were 30 percent more likely to remember the brand than a user who had the advertisement in view for five seconds.
