The recent FIFA World Cup was more than just an exciting sporting event. Businesses and their customers flocked to social media sites to show their enthusiasm.
About three-quarters of Internet users watching the World Cup said they would be active on social media while watching the games, according to the Crowdtap company. More than 40 percent planned to post or tweet about their favorite advertisements.
