Traditional vs. Attraction Marketing 繁體中文

mawebcenters-webinar-announcementsGuest writer, Morgan Parker, shares her thoughts and takeaways from the maWebCenters Webinar: Social Media and Local Business.

When you think about your stereotypical sales tactics, you think over-the-top ways of grabbing attention to customers. Maybe even interrupting a customer of that business to get the owner or manager’s attention. What many fail to realize is that these tactics are outdated and are not well received. Interruptions and aggressive sales pitches are no longer the way to go. This is called traditional marketing.

Social media provides the opportunity to have a conversation. A business owner may post something that peaks the interest of a potential customer and then continue the conversation.  This is attraction marketing. It’s the concept of reaching your audience by attracting them with good content rather than blasting ads at them.  It’s more about the education of the product rather than the persuasion.
